Our mural was drawn by Mrs Ray to show the things at Pukete school that is important to us. The large koru in the middle represents us (children). The smaller koru coming off the side represent the 5 core virtues of Pukete, Caring, Courage, Respect, responsibility and resilience. The Waikato River is running through the background and the winds are blowing as shown in our Pou. The Kowhaiwhai patterns (triangles) are drawn from our Pou and mean, growth and learning. The Pukete school Whare represents the teachers and whanau who support our learning.
Here is our mural that we each coloured and put back together.
