Assembly Sharing, Poi and Our Mural

Today was our turn to share at assembly.  We sang our song Rere Atu, danced with our poi we made, and shared our Pukete treasure mural.  We made Mrs Ray so proud!














Our mural was drawn by Mrs Ray to show the things at Pukete school  that is important to us.  The large koru in the middle represents us (children).  The smaller koru coming off the side represent the 5 core virtues of Pukete, Caring, Courage, Respect, responsibility and resilience. The Waikato River is running through the background and the winds are blowing as shown in our Pou.  The Kowhaiwhai patterns (triangles) are drawn from our Pou and mean, growth and learning.  The Pukete school Whare represents the teachers and whanau who support our learning.
