Making Paper

On Friday we had a go at making our own paper from old paper.

Firstly we had to cut it all up into squares and soak it in water overnight.

Then we put it into Mrs Ray's food processor and blitzed it up.  It felt soft and squishy.  We tipped it into a big container and mixed it with more water.

Next, we had to use a printing screen and catch some of the paper mix and let the water drain out onto a towel.  We got to press some petals and hearts into it.

We flipped the screen over and banged the paper out onto baking paper to leave over the weekend to dry.

We loved making paper!
