Pukete in The Past
As part of our inquiry into what we treasure we looked at some pictures of what old classrooms used to look like.
We also saw a few old pictures of Pukete.
We created a venn diagram to compare the past to now:
It was all very interesting and we decided it would have been boring back on the olden days ;)

Matariki Celebrations
Last weekend we all created some feathers and brought them back to school to make them into a Matariki Cloak or Kakahu. We LOVE how our Kakahu turned out and LOVE even more how we all made it together.
Then we made some kites from plates and ribbons. We has the BEST time playing with them when the rain stopped.
And Mrs Ray taught us how to play string games.....
What did you do to celebrate the Maori New Year?
