We love this website called Go Noodle here..... 

Sometimes we do our fitness using Go Noodle and here we are dancing to one of our favourites.  Mrs Ray thinks we are great dancers!

Making Collections

We have been learning about how to make 5 and 10.  Mrs Ray gave us lots of maths materials and we had to make as many sets of 5 that we could!  We then learnt how to count them in 5's.

Then we tried making collections of 10's!! 

Road Safety Puppet Show

Today we were lucky enough to watch a puppet show about road safety.  Sofija even got to give a puppet a high five!   We learnt to STOP, LOOK, LISTEN and THINK as well as many other safety tips around the roads.

Problem Solving

We have begun to work on a problem each week in maths.  We learnt that problem solving is a very important life skill.  First Mrs Ray read us the problem and we found the important information (the numbers).  Next we had a go with cars and a garage in partners.  Then we drew our problem and lastly wrote it is a number sentence.  

Our brains are growing each day!

We Wonder............about LIGHT

Our mini inquiry topic for this term is LIGHT. We wrote some really amazing questions that we wonder about light.............

We then learnt about shadows......we played shadow tag, we read some books and watched a video or two.   We learnt:

Then we made some shadow puppets. Mrs Ray had made a shadow theater for us to have a go making a shadow play.  We found out that the sun was the best way to make the shadows.

We have started some shadow art as well.....this is what it looks like so far..........

Easter day in Room 2

On Thursday we had a special Easter day in our room, we even had a special guest from Mrs Ray's house!  

This is Sweet P and we loved having her in class with us all day.

Mrs Ray even looked like a bunny!

We made some Chocolate Easter nests!

After that we made some special finger print Easter cards......

 And some Easter egg flags that we hung around our necks!

Dakota read Sweet Pea story.....

We ended the day with a movie called 'Hop'.  What a egg-cellent day.

Paper Mache Team

On Friday we had a great team of helpers join us to help paper mache some water balloons.  We used such great determination and perseverance to get them all covered to dry.  We were very grateful to have the family helpers, thank you.
